No two moves in Raleigh look the same. A studio near Hillsborough Street packs up fast; a four-bedroom in North Hills with a piano and a garage full of gym equipment is another matter. That’s why our Three Men and a Truck Moving Services in Raleigh cover a real range – local household moves, apartment and condo relocations, small office moves, plus the extras people forget, like assembling a bed frame or wrapping a glass-top table. Below are the services our Raleigh crews run most, whether you need two movers for a quick load-out or a full three-person team for a stair-heavy job. Pick what fits, and we’ll bring the truck, pads, and dollies to match.

Expert Cross State Moving Services for Smooth Transitions

Two-Men and a Truck Service

Not every job needs three movers. For a one-bedroom apartment, a dorm clear-out near NC State, or a short load-and-go, our two-man and a truck option keeps things quick and the price lower. Two movers handle the truck, dollies, and wrapping, and they're quick on stairs when the furniture isn't oversized. It's the right call for lighter local moves in Raleigh.

Three-Men and a Truck Service

When the inventory grows past what two movers can keep pace with, we add a third. Three-bedroom houses, finished basements, or a third-floor walk-up near Crabtree Valley without an elevator move faster with an extra set of hands. The third mover keeps the truck loading while the other two carry, so the job doesn't slow to a crawl on a hot afternoon.

Long-Distance Moving Service

Residential Moving

Most of what we do is home moves - apartments off Glenwood South, townhomes in Wakefield, single-family houses out toward Apex and Cary. We show up with floor runners and door pads so red clay from the yard and scuffs from the hand truck don't end up on your floors. Beds, appliances, and closets get wrapped and loaded in an order that makes unloading quick.

Commercial moving

Offices, retail spaces, and small clinics usually move after hours or over a weekend so the doors stay open to customers. Our Raleigh crews handle desks, filing cabinets, and IT gear, wrap and label by room, coordinate elevator and loading-dock timing downtown, and keep a Certificate of Insurance ready for property managers who require one.

Packing & Unpacking services

Packing takes more time than people expect. Our team brings dish barrels, wardrobe boxes, packing paper, and bubble wrap, and we pack a kitchen or a full house so nothing shifts in transit, with fragile items double-wrapped. Prefer to pack yourself? We'll just unload and unpack at the new place. Boxes stay sealed through Raleigh's spring pine-pollen season, too.

Instrument moving

Pianos and instruments don't travel like ordinary furniture. An upright piano can top 400 pounds and needs a piano board, real straps, and usually all three movers to clear a doorway safely. We pad and strap uprights, spinets, and console pianos, and we handle amps, drum kits, and cased guitars, too. Humidity is a real factor here, so truck time stays short.

Flat-Rate Local Moves Service

Hourly billing can turn a bad-traffic day on the Beltline into a bigger bill than you planned. With our flat-rate local moves, we quote the whole job up front based on your inventory and access, and that number holds even if I-440 backs up. No surprise charges for stairs, tape, or a long carry. You know the cost before we load the first box.
assembling furniture moving service

Furniture assembly & disassembly

Big pieces rarely fit through Raleigh's older doorways in one piece, especially in Historic Oakwood, where staircases were built narrow. We break down bed frames, sectionals, dining tables, and IKEA units, keep every bolt bagged and labeled, and put them back together in the right room at your new place. Wall units, cribs, and desks go the same way.

LEARN MORE ABOUT US

Who are we?

DC Movers is a locally run moving company working across Raleigh and the wider Triangle. We stayed small on purpose. The person who quotes your move is usually the same one wrapping your furniture and driving the truck, so nothing gets lost between the quote and move day. We focus on local household and apartment moves, small commercial jobs, and the odd piano or tight staircase other outfits skip. Household goods moving inside North Carolina is regulated by the North Carolina Utilities Commission, and we run the business to meet those standards. Ask us anything before you book: how many movers you need, how long it’ll take, and what happens if it rains.

THE POWER OF OUR SERVICE

Why Choose DC Movers in Raleigh, NC

Plenty of trucks will show up in Raleigh. Fewer will treat your grandmother’s dresser like it matters. What sets us apart isn’t a slogan; it’s the boring stuff done right: honest quotes, careful wrapping, and a crew that reads the room before hauling a couch down a flight of stairs. That judgment is the difference between a smooth Saturday and a chipped doorframe. Whether you’re hiring Three Men and a Truck Movers in Raleigh for a full house or two movers for an afternoon, here’s what you get.

Reasons to Trust

We give you the crew’s names and a written quote before move day, and we carry the insurance Raleigh apartment buildings require. No mystery, no runaround.

Your Best Choice

Pick two movers for a small apartment or all three for a stair-heavy house. You pay for the crew the job needs, not a package that’s bigger than your move.

Right Choice for You

We know which downtown streets ban parking during rush hour and which North Hills buildings need an elevator reservation, so your move day doesn’t stall.

Professional

Crews show up in uniform, on time, and off their phones. We pad and wrap before anything moves, and we leave your old place swept, not scattered with tape.

Top-Rated Three Men and a Truck Moving Company in Raleigh, NC

Ask around before you hire anyone. A moving company earns its reputation one driveway at a time, and the best Three Men and a Truck Moving in Raleigh isn’t the one with the loudest ad. It’s the one your neighbor recommends after their move went right. DC Movers has built its name on local work: apartment movers carrying boxes up three flights in a Cameron Village walk-up, residential moving crews emptying a house in Wakefield before closing, and loading and unloading for families who rented their own truck but needed the muscle. We handle household moving and furniture moving across the Triangle, treating a one-bedroom load-out with the same attention as a full four-bedroom. Raleigh has changed fast, with tech workers landing near RTP, students cycling through NC State every August, and retirees downsizing inside the Beltline, and a good local moving company has to keep up.

On 9/18/2025 I used DLC MOVERS for the first time. The gentleman that came to move me was Cash, Micheal and Fred. I Was not to sure of them at first, but they did and excellent job. They stayed busy and next thing I know my place was empty and being loaded on the truck. I want to say that if I move again or if anyone want the name of a great moving company, call DLC MOVERS. I will let them know how outstanding, professional and how well you took care of my belongings. Thank you very much and take care. I will spread the word and thanks again for the awesome service. Much appreciated.

Recommend DLC Movers HIGHLY - Devlin and his team were awesome to work with! We had a local move that involved three locations (Pittsboro > Chapel Hill > Durham) and we had not been able to pack up all our stuff very well by move day. The guys were great at navigating "what goes/what stays" and carefully packing up things that were still unpacked. They were very helpful in placing and reassembling furniture, too. The team worked fast but I could tell they were being careful with all our belongings. So I really felt I got the value I was hoping for. I will use DLC Movers again for the next move (which hopefully I won't have to do anytime soon!).
